Hyaluronidase acts as a depolymerizer of glycosaminoglycans and as a diffusing agent.

Hyaluronidase hydrolyzes hyaluronic acid by separating the bond between the C1 of the glucosamine molecule and the C4 of glucuronic acid.

This mechanism temporarily decreases the viscosity of the intercellular cement and promotes the diffusion of active ingredients.
